Back Story
Adam was once called Charon, the ferryman of the dead. His
duty was to ferry the recent dead to the underworld. All human souls must be
taken away from the world, or else the world would break down into chaos.
Later, his name and appearance changed, just as the times changed. For a time,
he was known as the Grim Reaper. The collector of the dead. Still the same
purpose, to show the recent dead the way to the underworld. In the past, he
enjoyed the idea of keeping the world from chaos, and showing human souls their
final destination. But recently, he grew aware that, despite his nonjudgmental
duty, more good people were dying than
bad people. He developed a sympathy for the good and innocent and a hatred for
the wicked. After guiding countless innocence
to their final resting place, he decided that he could not let this continue.
He plunged onto Earth as a human and is taking it upon
himself so bring justice to the wicked, and to protect the innocent. Now,
adapting to his new environment, he hunts down the most corrupt at heart and
ends their wickedness. Because he is the collector of souls, he can keep the
souls of corrupt from their end, and instead torments them as he sees fit.
As he begins his quest, he knows that the other aspects of
the universe will take notice of his actions, so he must conceal himself to
human culture. If he gives himself away,
the other aspects will try to stop him for he is interfering with the mortal
realm directly.
In order to interact, he wears human cloths, speaks the
current human language, stays his hand from using his powers (mostly) and took
up his mortal name. His first name. Adam.
