This is the pitch for my GDD 101 Dice Game
Battle Dice
Over
View
This game is were two players,
essentially, duel each other with dice. The players take turns rolling dice,
one player being the “attacker” and the other player “defending”. The game is
set so that it will be quick to play, comprehensive and appealing to all
groups. The game also moves slightly away from using just six sided dice. The
game is mostly based on luck, but there is some player intervention where the
player can help his chances with staying alive and beating his opponent.
Why
are we making this game?
Dice are often used in conjunction
with other games, such as monopoly. There are few games that just involve dice,
and those that do are largely unknown. This game is being made to, hopefully,
end that. This game is simple to play, low in supplies cost, and is appropriate
for all. The game has some strategy elements and the rules for how long the
game goes on for can be changed by the players depending on their situation.
This game has the potential to be known and accepted by the world like poker or
black jack.
Walk
Through of the Game
The Game starts with both players
receiving 2 6 sided dice, and 1 12 sided die. Both players also start off
health. The amount of health depends on how long the players want to play. In a
standard game, both players start off with 50 health.
By a flip of a coin the two players decide who
is the attacker first. The attack is to roll the 2 6 sided dice, while the
defender rolls the 12 sided dice. The attack is the first to roll the dice.
After the attacker rolls his dice, the defender can decide on whether or not
they want to roll the 12 sided dice with a 6 sided die. The defender must make
this choice before they roll, and if they choose, they can not repeat this
action for 5 turns. After 5 turns, they may repeat this action.
Once the
attacker and defender have rolled their dice, the following applies.
-If the
defender rolls a lower value than the attacker, the defender must take off the
value of the attackers roll minus the roll of the defender. For example, The
attacker rolls a 10 and the defender rolls a 6. The defender loses 4 health.
- If the
defender rolls the same value as the attacker, the defender loses no health.
-If the
defender rolls more than the attacker, they gain half the value of their roll
as health. For example, the defender rolls a 12 and the attacker rolls a 4. The
defender rolls 8 more than the attacker, so then the defender gains 4 health)
After both
players roll, and the defender adjusts his health, the players switch roles.
The defender becomes the attacker, and the attacker becomes the defender. Same
rules apply and this continues in till one player has zero health.

I am personally unaware of any game
that is like this. Maybe there is some board game that has this sort of
mechanic included in it. I am unaware of such a game existing. As far as I
know, this is an original game that has never existed before.
